What is Rush?!
Rush week is a series of events we put on so you can learn more about Sigma Phi Delta. Our next rush will be week 2 of Winter 2024. Stay tuned for event details!
Sunday 9/29: BBQ @ Diablo Grilling Area
- Time: 6 - 8pm
- Come get free BBQ, meet the bros, and learn more about Sigma Phi Delta.
Monday 9/30: Game Night @ The Island (Meet @ the PAC for rides)
- Time: 6 - 8pm, meet at PAC
- Come play games, hang out with us, and have fun at one of our fraternity homes.
Tuesday 10/1: Sports Day @ Mott Volleyball Courts
- Time: 6 - 8pm
- Play bowling with us for free! Show off your skills or lack of skills, we don't judge.
Wednesday 10/2: Professional Night @ The Castle (Meet @ the PAC for rides)
- Time: 6 - 8pm, meet at PAC
- As we are a professional engineering fraternity, we have many brothers and alumni working in industry. This night is a career fair style professional day to share what we've learned and how we can help you in your professional career.
Thursday and Friday: Invite only events
- We will be inviting rushees back to go through the next stages of our process.

Our Standards
We welcome men of all engineering majors to rush SPD. The Sigma Phi Delta Fraternity is historically known as a professional brotherhood of engineers. We hold professionalism and education among our highest priorities. All who wish to join must be studying either under the College of Engineering or an ABET accredited engineering major at Cal Poly. This includes the following majors:
